RIPPLES
The quiet movement between the storms.
These companion forms represent the smaller waves encountered along the passage — the continual movement of the sea that carries the vessel forward.
Unlike the immense force of SURGE, these waves are quieter, yet they are always present. They remind us that a journey is not defined only by its greatest challenges, but also by the countless smaller moments that carry us onward.
Sodalite, blue kyanite, and pyrite form the crystal gathering within the two vessels. Their natural blues, silver, and earthy tones echo the colours and textures of the sea and shoreline. Traditionally associated with strength, and protection, the crystals represent the people carried together through the quieter waves of the passage — connected by a shared journey and moving forward together.
Each piece is inherently one of a kind. Variations in texture, form, crystal placement, and finish are part of the character of the work and reflect the hand of the artist.

The LUMINESA process
Sculptural Candlescapes transforming fabric and concrete into vessels and forms. Each artwork is individually created by hand using cloth saturated in concrete, shaped, manipulated, plastered, and then painted. A centrepiece arrangement is carefully designed and constructed with natural crystals drawn from the earth's landscape, accompanied by illuminating tealights.
