A place where the journey pauses — celebrating the comfort of shelter, the warmth of belonging, and the quiet strength found within community.

Refuge features pyrite, sodalite, and blue kyanite — crystals traditionally associated with strength, inner calm, protection, and communication. Their contrasting forms and natural textures become part of the sculpture itself, creating a landscape within the vessel where mineral, concrete, and light coexist.

Each piece is inherently one of a kind. Variations in texture, form, crystal placement, and finish are part of the character of the work and reflect the hand of the artist.

The LUMINESA process

Sculptural Candlescapes transforming fabric and concrete into vessels and forms. Each artwork is individually created by hand using cloth saturated in concrete, shaped, manipulated, plastered, and then painted. A centrepiece arrangement is carefully designed and constructed with natural crystals drawn from the earth's landscape, accompanied by illuminating tealights.
